Frequently Asked Questions
Every Question, Answered.
If a parent has asked it, the answer is below. If anything remains uncertain, the Discovery Call is the place to talk it through.
When are lessons?+
Most classes run between 6 pm and 8 pm on weekday evenings, deliberately scheduled so they sit comfortably after the school day and around school commitments.
Are lessons live?+
Yes. Every class is taught live by a specialist Geography tutor. Live teaching is non-negotiable for us — it is the moment students ask questions, refine answers and stay accountable.
Are recordings available?+
Yes. Every live lesson is recorded and made available to enrolled students so they can revisit any moment, review challenging material or catch up if they miss a class.
How many students are in each class?+
Cohorts are deliberately small — fewer than ten students per class. This ensures every student receives meaningful interaction, individual attention and personalised feedback across the year.
How does homework work?+
We focus on one topic each month. Homework is set with curated resources — readings, videos and notes — so students revise the content at home, and our live sessions are kept free to focus on exam questions and technique.
How much independent work is expected?+
We recommend students spend two to four focused hours each week on Blueprint work outside of lessons — working through the homework resources, consolidating content and practising exam questions.
What happens if my child misses a lesson?+
Students access the recording, the slides and the homework brief. Where helpful, tutors will check in to ensure understanding before the following lesson.
How are live sessions structured?+
Each month is built around one topic. Content revision is done independently through the homework resources we provide, and live sessions are dedicated to exam questions — modelling answers, refining technique and working against the mark scheme.
Can students join after September?+
Yes — within reason. We accept later joiners on a case by case basis, depending on cohort size and how confidently a student can be brought up to speed. The Discovery Call will clarify whether this is appropriate.
How do parents stay updated?+
Parents receive detailed progress reports each term covering attendance, assessment performance, topic mastery and attitude to learning. We also send parent updates after every monthly assessment so you are never left guessing. We believe in honest, considered communication rather than dashboards full of noise.
What if my child misses several lessons or falls behind?+
Every lesson is recorded with slides and resources available immediately. Students can watch the recording, complete the homework and rejoin the live class the following week. Tutors also check in proactively if they notice a student is struggling, and we are happy to arrange a brief catch-up call to get them back on track.
Is NEA and coursework support included?+
Yes. While the live classes focus on exam technique, our tutors guide students through every stage of the NEA — from question selection and methodology to analysis and evaluation.
What technology is needed?+
A laptop or tablet, a stable internet connection and a quiet place to work. That is genuinely all that is required.
Is support available between lessons?+
Yes. Students can ask questions about homework, essays and content between lessons. We are not a self-study platform — we are a mentoring programme.
Are classes grouped by exam board?+
Yes. Students are taught in groups aligned to their specification, so the teaching matches the precise paper they will sit.
Who is this suitable for?+
Motivated A Level Geography students who want structured, expert support across the full academic year — typically aiming for strong A or A* grades and competitive university destinations.
Is it suitable for students already achieving A grades?+
Yes — many of our students join already strong and want to refine the final ten to fifteen marks that separate an A from an A*. The Blueprint is built precisely for that distinction.
Can weaker students join?+
Yes, provided the student is motivated and willing to work. We have taken students up four grades and more before. We will be honest on the Discovery Call about realistic outcomes and what would need to happen between September and June.
How does the Discovery Call work?+
It is a complimentary thirty minute call with our team. We discuss your teenager's current position, ambitions and challenges, then map a clear way forward.
What happens after the Discovery Call?+
If the Blueprint is the right fit, we explain enrolment clearly and simply. If it is not, you leave with a clear, written summary of the next steps your teenager should take.
